Kathir - Ready for School

Kathir's biggest fantasy is to bike down to school on his yellow cycle. Mind you this is his neighbor's cycle. She gave to him in one moment of emotion thinking he will run out of interest in a couple of days and return it. It's been 2 months now and he eats on it, sleeps on it, goes to park with it, goes up and down the lift with it, and if he had his way he'd do his chi-chi-su-su also on it!

Kathir Loves School

Kathir loves "tul" :) He jumps off and runs inside the class, not a very flattering feeling for me but am happy he enjoys his school. I was worried when whole of last week he cried and clinging to me as I dropped him off at school. But the culprit is Baba who disappeared for 15 days on work. Kathir was missing him I guess. We tried lots of things to cheer him up.

One being cutting a cake as a run-up to his birthday.

Why this weblog?

Dear Kathir,

I thought of creating this weblog for you because of the following reasons:

1) Before you turn 2 next month and hit the proverbial 'troublesome two', it's a good idea to capture all your 'good boy' days lest we all forget them soon.

2) Your mamma seems to be coming down with amnesia - few days back she was asking someone how does it feel to be pregnant? Before she asks how does it feel to have a two year old baby boy, it's a good idea to pen down the valuable memories of the past 2 yrs.

3) Thirdly, its peer pressure my dear boy. Every mother I know blogs about her kid and you should not feel deprived of one!

4) Last but not the least - this is a real problem. With both your parents traveling and grandparents visiting once a year, mamu-mami being NRIs and your god mother not visiting at all - it's become really important to keep them updated about you! You seem to be growing up really fast between their visits, so this should give them an in-progress report about you!

Love
Mamma
